Next phase starts

It has been a busy couple of weeks since the last blog post with some important milestones for the CATAMI project.

We held an initial meeting (10th August) with the end users who make up the Technical Working Group to confirm an initial feature list.

Following this meeting we visited the marine research group at the Australian Centre for Field Robotics (http://www.acfr.usyd.edu.au/) at University of Sydney (see photos below). We met up Stefan Williams' team including 2 developers who will be working on the CATAMI project with the 2 developers funded under NeCTAR.  We undertook a valuable planning session for the CATAMI project including planning for the first iteration.

The first iteration started on the 20th August and will finish on 31st August with a review from the community via the Technical Working Group.  This will be a reoccurring fortnightly meeting which gives the user community an opportunity to see what software is being developed and provide feedback to developers to ensure we are developing tools that are actually useful to marine researchers.

For further details on what we are working on please visit the CATAMI JIRA website which tracks issues / features for the project.

Please contact catami@ivec.org or comment below if you would like further information or would like to participate in this project.
